CONFLICT MINERALS STATEMENT
Ace Galvanizing’s process applies zinc metal to steel to protect it from corrosion. Zinc purchased is from domestic recycling facilities and/or from zinc producers using mined ore from Canadian, United States, and/or Mexican mines. No zinc is sourced from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) or adjoining countries. Furthermore, any tantalum, tin, gold, and tungsten present in the zinc is strictly coincidental, as none of those metals are necessary to the functionality of the products produced by the hot-dip galvanizing process.
Steel provided to the galvanizer is sourced by the fabricator/contractor/owner and as such its origin is not known by Ace Galvanizing. Typically, structural steel is made of recycled steel from domestic scrap sources.
